Here is the baby quilt! I ended up running out of thread - again! A different color. Then I started working on my pink, Bird on a Wire Quilt and ran out of thread there too. I ended up going to Fabricland three times this weekend! Thankfully they had a Thanksgiving Madness sale on so everything was 50% off! Yippee. In fact the first trip there was for the hubby - he customizes his hockey jerseys and needed some Twill, so I got to go and get fabric too. I will post what I got soon - but first
Back to the completed project!!
My stitches are not perfect - but at least you can tell its not done by a programed machine - all that wonky is all me! ha ha
I put it on her desk this morning, I really hope she likes it. It sure was fun to make. It was sad this morning, although exciting too to wrap it up to give away this morning.
Cheers,
Carolyn
The baby quilt is beautiful & i love your quilting. I'm sure she will love it.
ReplyDeleteFunny that you should say your quilting is not perfect, I was thinking how lovely it is! Really cool little quilting designs in it. The baby's mama is going to love this!!
ReplyDeleteSupreme success! You can do anything now! Pebbling really chews up the thread, huh? I am so thrilled to see all the inventive free motion quilting you did. It looks tons better than my first quilt. Also we are covering spirals and flowers this week in the quilt along but you're already done with that! Thank you so much for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful. And I love your quilting. I love the look of the circles/pebbles (3rd picture). I think I will have to try that. I will, of course, buy cone thread just to make sure I have enough.
