Mug rugs completed!

I got both of my mug rugs done for the Quilt Blogger Mug Rug Exchange!
My secret exchange person is not from Canada and that is all I will say as to location, shh it is a secret..
I stalked her - well, ha ha, I checked out her blog and found that for her secret partner, she was making one rug that was themed with where she was from . I thought that was bloody brilliant so I designed a very Canadian one for her.
Here is my initial design:
So, we got the obvious maple leaf, then the rocky mountains and finally - the blue sky and prairies that I grew up knowing. I of course realized after that I drew this too wide - but I was able to fix it.

Here is how it turned out:

Here is the back, I did just the prairies and that beautiful open sky.
For the second one, I thought I would do something in her favorite colors, but all her projects we all sorts of different colors - like mine, so I made this:

I hope she loves them as much as I do!

Anyone else doing the mug rug exchange?
If you haven't entered into my give away and would like to, you can do so here.
Cheers,
Carolyn
