Coffee date and fabric received!

Thursday night was such a great night! I finally got to meet up with Anna from Quiltmom's Journey. She is even lovelier in person. I had the best time and am very much looking forward to meeting up with her again. She came bearing gifts and sent me home with two magazines, one to keep and one I told her was to be a loner so we had to meet up again so I could return it.
I get to keep the one on the left. As Anna and I got talking we told each other how we both got our orders in from Connecting Threads - on the same day! Here are my new treasures!
I also got some new tools - this new cutter is made just for lefties like me! There tools are still on 40% off until April 4th. Anna got some cool books from there as well - I may have to "browse" the site again. ha ha
 I also got this 12 1/2" square and a 4 1/2" square rulers.
Thank goodness I got all this awesome stuff to cheer up my weekend - this picture is what it still looks like come April 1st! I took this on my way to work yesterday morning. April fools on us - ha ha, its still winter. Boo - but I have bright fabric inside to play with!!
Cheers,
Carolyn

  1. Sounds like a fun time. Love the fabrics. We just had a new load of snow dumped on us, also. Will this winter never end?

  2. What fun, to get together with like-minded folks! In SC we are having sunshine, but up to 43 mph wind gusts! I had planned to do some outside chores, but I'm about to postpone them, so I won't get blown away! I'm glad to have sunshine, anyway! :)

  3. Looks like you had a fun time! If you ever additional left handed rotary cutter or shears I have some in my Etsy store. Let me know and I will cut you a deal.

  4. Carolyn,
It was so much fun - I did not realize you are left handed- So am I -
We got off lucky it seems- down south it was snowing today ( Calgary- Cochrane) I hear the roads are pretty bad almost to Red Deer so it is just as well that we didn't go to R. D, this weekend.
I did get the body of my dad's quilt finished- now to add borders.
Thanks for the fun evening_ I will look forward to our next visit.
    Warmest regards,
    Anna
