I love the library

Our downtown library is awesome - but it smells like sweat.
Regardless, I went on the weekend, held my breath and zipped to the quilting section. I as well browsed some other cool areas - like the Folklore and Costume area. I could of spent the entire day - but Lucky has an eye injury - AGAIN =( booo. Plus I started to get a real hand full of books and my bike bucket can only hold so many.. ... and they have a 10 book limit. HA

Here is what I brought home:
Arrg, why does blogger keep flipping my photos?? OK, turn your head to read the titles. hee hee
I would be reading some smutty fantasy novel - I am reading the Fever series from Karen Marie Moning - click here to see the titles. I love these books - and ones like it. I have read all but the very newest Charlaine Harris books for the Sookie Stackhouse novels - love them and the show True Blood. Oh and I started reading Jenna Blacks Faeriewalker series, but now I have to wait for the newest book to become available.
I used to read and still do, but not as often, very "heavy" make you think about the world and cry your guts out books - used to watch those types of movies to. But I find lately, I want to just enjoy make believe and what is better then some smutty fantasy book? Nothing. HA hahaha
Cheers,
Carolyn

  3. I've found out that if I request new quilting books from my local library, they'll go buy them! It's a great way to get access to the new books without have to buy or shelve them myself.....

And I too love smutty fantasy - have you tried the Diana Gabaldon Outlander series? I guarantee you will love the characters - they become part of your family!

  4. Looks like you have some great reading and references to check out. Right now I'm reading one book and listening to another. Sometimes the stories get mixed up in my head when I first start one or the other - makes for an interesting plot - lol!

  5. I love the library too. Thanks goodness ours doesn't smell of sweat! I used to go to one that smelled of old carpet. That was tough to endure. I just went yesterday too, I got one by Kim Harrison, "The Good, The Bad and the Undead." I haven't read her before. So I'll see if I like it. Looks like you'll be having fun with the books you got.
