I was so proud of myself, I actually made a decision as to what fabric I am sending out for my June month of Lets Bee Together. Then I cut them into squares and made 12 piles. All of this, because I thought for sure there must be people from international locations in the group - not looking at the list that Linda sent me. I took everything to work to package and mail out only to then look at the list and realize - I am the only international person on the list!! Me?? Yes, me. Everyone is from the USA. Now I understand why everyone was posting pictures of finished blocks in the first two weeks of the month whereas I have not even received my fabric!
Any how - I am ready to mail out to all my USA friends come May 15th. I hope two weeks will be long enough.
Here they are:
Every package comes with love, cat hair and dog hair! Bahahaha, I scrubbed the floor before I made the piles so at least that is all its coming with!!
I cannot wait for these renos to be done! And to have this lovely kitchen tile removed and replaced with something that looks good! I'm also looking forward for getting my fabric for May's Lets Bee Together!
Cheers,
Carolyn

Retreat projects by talented ladies
So far, I have only received permission from two people to show their creations, this may be it. So please enjoy these lovely projects done by my friend's Joanne, and Judy!
I wish the pictures had turned out better, you would think I would have mastered my camera by now, but it seems the longer I have it the worse my pictures are getting!
Cheers,
Carolyn

I got my Hot Pad!!
Check out this awesome hot pad I got! I fricken LOVE it!!
I hope if you click on the picture you can see what she stitched. Bev read on my blog about the home renos going on here. So you can see on one side is the reno, then the other side is a finished home complete with a garden!
Don't you just love it! Look at that dress! and the garden - the plumes coming out of the chimney!!
Sorry if these pictures are sideways, blogger keeps flipping my pictures on me. Gosh, check out that adorable button door knob! Dear Bev Cooper, you are awesome! Thank you for my amazing hot pad!
Cheers,
Carolyn

Birthday treats
I was so busy to get out for my retreat, I did not get a chance to show you what I got for me birthday. Mr Hunter went to Fabricland and bought me fabric. I guess he made several women envious as they told him they could not get their husbands to enter the store, let alone surprise them with fabric goodness.
Here is what he picked for me:
Not bad huh?
Then I got lots of flowers, and a yummy cup cake:
The cut flowers were pretty much done by the time I got home, but they were lovely all the same. The potted flowering plants still look fantastic and I hope I can get them to flourish. I have been known to kill Gerber Daisy's, but I think they are lovely. I think I over water.
If any of you have a tip for me on how to not kill my Gerber, please leave me a comment.
Cheers,
Carolyn

Retreat goodness
Another quilting retreat has ended, another fabulous weekend spent with my dear friends from Seba Beach and area. I managed to complete some tops during the weekend - actually I still have to put the border onto one, so I guess that's not correct, but it was still a very productive weekend along with some visiting time.
Here is what I made the Friday night:
![]() |
| I actually have the boarder done on this as well but forgot to take another picture - it's a hot pad. |

| This is a fabric bowl. It was our Friday Free project. For some reason my Friday Freebies are always wonky. As you can see, I have to hold this upright. ha ha |
![]() |
| This was Saturdays project. We learned how to make the log cabin squares done easy. It was a kit that she put together for each of us with amounts ready for us to cut into just what we needed. |

| Everyone then got to put their squares together however with way they wanted. I was able to make this fun zig zag. |
Did you notice the fantastic light shining on my table? I had the best view ever! Check out my sewing station:
The outside roll up screen did not survive the winter and that is what is hanging. It is to high up to reach from outside so I imagine it will still be hanging there come the next retreat.
I am very excited for September as Jan is having another retreat and so is the Seba Sewing group. That is two retreats in one month! Awesome!!
There were so many amazing quilting projects done by my quilting friends, if I get permission, I will try to post some soon for you to see.
Cheers,
Carolyn
