Downtown Ice Sculptures

My Mom was in town for Christmas and we had a quick walk downtown - it was too cold to have a long one! We came upon these ice sculptures the city had done up for the New Years party they held in Churchill Square. There were a couple that were broken, but the ones that held up were pretty cool.

Have you ever seen ice sculptures in your downtown areas or in the city?

I'm tired of being cold!

I hate winter - but it is pretty.

Is it cold where you are?

Past Quilting Retreat Pics

I went to a retreat out in Seba Beach in October and took some pics of some neat projects people were working on to share and never got around to posted them. Here they are:

I got this from a magazine that was out there, thought it was cool.

Here are the blocks I got from the first Lets Be Together group all sewn together. This quilt is done and is a favorite of mine when I hang out on the couch upstairs.
And here are my two good friends I get to see when I am out in Seba. These are the same quilt, but they look very different due to the fabric color choices.

And here is one bee block I do not think I posted about. Isn't that blue paisley fabric lovely?
Have any of you ever made a project like these?
Cheers,
Carolyn

Latest sewing projects

Here are some of the past blocks / quilts I have made.

I made this quilt for the DDB Share event we put on through work to raise money for the Hope Mission.

This quilt I gave to Mr Hunter's daughter for Christmas.

What have you been making?
Cheers,
Carolyn

House Update

Lots has happened in the house since my last house update. Mr Hunter and I took two weeks off in September and finished off the living room and the new master bedroom. He is currently finishing the upstairs bathroom - we are waiting for the rest of the tile to come in. Then there is the old master bedroom to complete and a closet upstairs - downstairs there is still the utility and the laundry room + there is the stairwell. All of this is pretty easy once the bathroom is done.
Here are some pictures of the process and the new rooms:

The bathroom is a little but further then this, but you will have to wait for another update.
Cheers,
Carolyn
