Zinio Promo and e-Subscription Give Away!!

Last year for Christmas my sister drew my name in our family name draw and I got an e-subscription to Quilting Arts. I'm sure you are all familiar with that magazine. Little did I know at the time, but the company that distributes this magazine, Zinio, has a large amount of other titles available to subscribe to.

I was very surprised (happily!) when I was contacted by Zinio to see if I would be interested in posting about their current promo and to offer 10 free e-Subscriptions (Disclaimer - I get to keep one of these subscriptions for myself so that means 9 free e-Subscriptions will be given away via this post!)!!

So without further delay - below is the promo they have and below that I am going to gush about how many magazines they have - then you know the drill, leave a comment if you are interested in the subscription. If more then 9 people are interested then I will use the random number selector to chose 9 people out of the list. Please only comment once - you do not have to be a follower - and you can get a e-subscription to any of their titles - not just the ones they have on promo. The Cut Off for this Give Away is January 20th, 2013.

NEW!  Conde Nast US Magazines Now Available on Zinio for $19.99
  • Wired, GQ, Vanity Fair, Conde Nast Traveler, Self, Bon Appetit, and Glamour

OK - So that is the Promo - now please allow me to gush. Did you know these guys have not only Quilting Arts, but Cloth Paper Scissors - And at least three different knitting mags?? There are Crochet mags, Wood Working, Photography, Art, Design, Beading, Jewelry, Cooking. The selection is amazing, click here to go the Zinio site, then for these magazines I just mentioned, click on Art, then Craft (except for the photo and arts mags, you get those under Art). Below is a few but not all of them.

Like this selection is not already amazing, try clicking on Entertainment - then Hobby and BAM!! More amazing selections - 17 pages of selections. The hardest part about this giveaway is going to be deciding which magazine you want!
Be still my heart - I even found a Bead and Button Magazine. If I could I would keep all 10 subscriptions - ha ha, but that would be wrong.. ... tee hee.

Please let me know if you want a free e-Subscription to any of these mags, which one you want and your email before E.O.D. on January 20, 2013. Again, if there are more then 9 people, it will be decided by a random draw.

FYI - you do not need an e-reader or any other type of tablet to view this e-Subscription. You get an email from Zinio every time the new magazine is out and you can access it via this email or your account that you will make up with the access they will send you. You can view these on your regular desktop or laptop. You can even print it out if you so desire (but if you do not have to, please do save a tree).

Cheers,
Carolyn

Nerf War

While out in BC and meeting family we had not seen in a long time / met, we were introduced into the world of Nerf. Sorry, these are blurry - for some reason they would not stop and pose while they were being shot at. Funny right? lol

All this fun lead to this:

Yeah, Mr Hunter and I are in our basement - he bought this just for himself. While FaceTiming with family in the USA he even shot me with it - right in the face! It was funny / a little painful. The funniest is we can shoot the Nerf gun and Lucky brings the bullets back - even when you shoot him in the butt!
Hee hee.
Have any of you had a family Nerf war?
Cheers,
Carolyn

BC Visit

Mr Hunter and I went out to BC much earlier this summer. We went out for his Grandmothers funeral which was sad, but the rest of the visit was really great. We got to see some of his family whom he has not seen in years and I got to meet some for the first time. We had actually really hoped to make a road trip to the USA to see these family members, but in the end, we realized we have to get this house done first.
While in BC, we took a lovely walk on Davis Bay which we drive past all the time, but I had never been on. I have some great pictures to share of that day below.
Cheers,
Carolyn

Possible re-Share

I cannot remember if I posted this table runner I made for my friend Chelsea - but just in case I forgot to, here it is:

I thought I had sooooo many hexis made - but this little project cleaned me right out / I had to make more! I like how it turned out though. It kind of makes me think of computer chips. What do you think? Too random, or kinda cool?
Cheers,
Carolyn
